The Buddhist concept of emptiness refers to the idea that nothing has independent existence. Everything is co-dependent on other things. However, emptiness itself doesn’t really exist -- there are no parts to be interdependent. Everything (it) simply is.
Note: This concept came to me during a group meditation being guided by Osel Jennings, a spiritual teacher. When I shared it with the group after the meditation Osel animatedly confirmed that (in his view) it was correct.
